Your file stays on your device
The watermark is written in this page, using your browser’s own processing. The PDF is not sent to a server, nothing is stored, and there is no account to create. Closing the tab is all the cleanup there is.
How to use it
- Drop in a PDF, or choose one from your device. The tool reads the page count straight away (up to 200 pages, 50 MB).
- Type the text, pick a position and an opacity. The preview line names the file it is about to write and the stamp it will use, before anything is drawn.
- Press Add watermark and download the new file.
What the watermark looks like
It is drawn in Helvetica, the standard font a PDF writer already has. It will not match a document set in another typeface, and this tool does not embed a custom font to pretend otherwise. Characters Helvetica cannot draw — most scripts outside Western letters, digits and punctuation — are refused rather than rendered as boxes.
Centre is the default. Light, medium and strong are 20%, 35% and 55% opacity. The stamp sits in from the edge far enough to survive a typical print margin. Rotated pages are watermarked the way they appear on screen, not against the unrotated media box.
What you get, and what you do not
You get a copy of the same PDF with the typed text on every page. Existing content is not moved to make room — if a header or a figure already fills that spot, the watermark sits on top of it.
This is not a PDF editor. It does not place an image, a logo or a scanned signature. Password-protected PDFs cannot be watermarked.
