The converter is not yet active, so this website does not currently accept or process uploaded PDFs. This policy will be reviewed before uploads are enabled.
Information we collect
If you contact us, we receive the name, email address, and message you choose to send. The planned converter will also create an anonymous account identifier and operational records such as job status, file size, processing time, and error information. We do not plan to require registration for the initial converter.
Uploaded documents and generated files
When conversion is enabled, PDFs and generated Excel workbooks are intended to be kept in private temporary storage. They will be used only to perform the requested conversion, return the result, investigate service failures, and protect the service from abuse.
The target retention period for the MVP is no longer than 24 hours after processing, followed by automated deletion. We will confirm and enforce the exact retention period before accepting files and will update this policy if that period changes.
Service providers
The planned service uses Supabase for authentication, database records, and private file storage. OpenRouter and the selected AI model provider will receive document content as needed to perform extraction. Hosting and security providers may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, and timestamps.
Analytics and cookies
The current website does not use advertising cookies. We may add limited, privacy-conscious analytics to understand page use and service reliability. If analytics or consent requirements change, this policy and the site controls will be updated.
Logs and security
We intend to avoid placing document contents in routine application logs. Operational logs may include request timing, status codes, model usage, and diagnostic details. No online system can promise absolute security, but access controls, private storage, short-lived links, and server-side secrets are part of the planned design.
Your choices and deletion requests
Temporary conversion files are intended to be deleted automatically. To ask about contact information or other retained records, email privacy@extracttoexcel.com. We may need enough information to locate and verify the relevant record.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and legal requirements develop. The revised date at the top of this page will show when material changes were published.
This MVP policy is an original operational draft and should receive appropriate legal review before production launch.
