About ExtractToExcel

Less copying. More usable data.

ExtractToExcel is being built for people who need information from many similar PDFs but do not want to copy every value into a spreadsheet by hand.

The problem we are solving

Invoices, receipts, bills, and purchase documents often arrive as PDFs. The details inside them are useful, but the format is awkward when you need to compare records, reconcile costs, or continue working in Excel. Manually opening each file and copying values is slow, repetitive, and easy to get wrong.

Why custom extraction matters

Different teams care about different fields. An accounts team may need invoice number, tax, currency, and due date. An operations team may need supplier, purchase order number, and location. ExtractToExcel lets the user describe the spreadsheet columns instead of forcing every document into one fixed template.

The core rule is simple: if a requested value is not clearly supported by the PDF, leave the cell blank.

A focused first release

The first version is intentionally limited to PDF documents and Excel output. Each PDF will become one row in a combined workbook. Keeping the workflow narrow gives us a clear standard against which to test usefulness, reliability, and privacy.

Privacy by design

Uploaded business documents can contain sensitive information. The planned service uses private storage, short-lived access, server-side AI requests, and temporary file retention. We will publish the exact handling rules before document upload is enabled.

Our mission

We want to make repetitive document work easier without pretending AI is infallible. Useful automation should save time, make uncertainty visible, and leave important business decisions with the person reviewing the result.
